Invisalign and Clear Aligners: What Wear Time, Scans, and Honesty Look Like
Clear trays can straighten many smiles without metal — if you wear them. How Dental Castle chooses Invisalign, Spark, or other systems in Hyderabad.
Aligners are popular because they are almost invisible in a meeting and come out for a biryani. They only work if they are in the mouth 20–22 hours a day. At Dental Castle we would rather tell you that you need braces than sell trays you will leave in a drawer.
How the process works
- Exam and digital scans (and X-rays when the bite or roots need them).
- A staged plan: each tray moves teeth a fraction of a millimetre.
- Attachments — small tooth-coloured bumps — are often needed so trays can grip. They are not a failure of the system; they are how physics happens.
- You change trays on a schedule, usually every one to two weeks.
- Refinements (extra trays) are common. Teeth do not always follow the first animation perfectly.
- Retainers at the end, same as braces.
Invisalign, Spark, and Indian systems
Invisalign is a well-known workflow with strong tracking software. Spark and carefully chosen Indian aligner systems can be excellent for the right case and budget. We match complexity to the system — palatal expansion, teen protocols, and digital twin-block style plans exist for specific bites, not as a menu to upsell.
Who does well
Mild to moderate crowding and spacing, some bite issues, adults who will not miss wear time, teens with a parent who will check. Deep bites, large rotations, and some jaw discrepancies still belong in braces. We will show you which side you are on before you pay for a scan package.
Can I eat anything?
Yes — trays out, then brush or rinse before they go back. That is the point. Frequent snacking without cleaning trays invites cavities around attachments.
Will people notice?
Less than braces. Close friends may see attachments. That is still far quieter than metal in a wedding photograph.
